Despite the serious nature of our work, we like to have fun. From themed days to socializing together during off hours, volunteering within our community and competing as a team at fundraisers, we love to cheer each other on. We even have a stuffed chimpanzee for our APE award – Acts of Performance Excellence.

We got our start in 1995 as a Commercial Investigative Services firm, offering a broad spectrum of investigative services, including background checks.

When the Web took off soon after and technology was evolving faster than ever, much of the work involving pre-employment screening became automated, and our business grew significantly.

By 2000, thanks to this rapid growth, we decided to focus solely on background checks, rebranding our company as a web-based organization in 2002 and adopting the name easyBackgrounds.

Along the way, we’ve become very involved within the background screening industry. As a founding member of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS), easyBackgrounds management and employees have volunteered on a wide variety of committees, worked with legislators to promote or fight regulation, and represented the industry in venues across the country.

Through all of it, we’ve tried to be a good corporate citizen with philanthropic efforts, volunteer work and community outreach.
