County Civil
County Court Civil Records reveal legal actions filed by individuals and businesses against other individuals and businesses. These records may reveal information pertaining to the plaintiff, defendant, particulars of the action, remedies and awards. Standard research covers a 7 year period from the date of order. This search helps identify high-risk candidates that may become a liability. Court fees may apply and vary by location. County Civil record searches are conducted by name only and take slightly longer than County Criminal record research.

Federal Civil
Federal Civil Records are searched US Federal District Courts. These records may reveal information pertaining to plaintiff, defendant, particulars of the action, remedies and awards. Typical cases might involve violations of civil rights, actions against the federal government, interstate commerce, financial entities, etc. A background check of senior level managers or executives frequently include civil record searches. Searches are performed by name only and verification of identified records may take additional time. This search is usually complete within 24 hours.

Nationwide Bankruptcy
A search including all federal jurisdictions for records of any bankruptcies. The information returned may include: case or file number, date filed, type of bankruptcy (i.e. Chapter 11, Chapter 7, etc.), discharge date and name(s) listed as petitioner(s).

Credit Reports
Credit reports used for employment background check purposes are not the same as a standard credit report. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) specifies that certain account information must be stripped from the credit report before it can be used for employment purposes and it does not include a credit score. Please note that access to Credit Reports requires additional approvals as well as an inspection of the user's premises in accordance with Credit Reporting Bureau and FCRA regulations. Results are instant.
