A Staffing Firm Case Study
An IT Staffing firm approached easyBackgrounds with inquiries about background screening and drug testing. The Recruiters for the firm were the ones placing orders and it was made clear that a minimal amount of time should be required. easyBackgrounds had the Managers describe the entire hiring process, from first contact to the day the employee arrived onsite. Because easyBackgrounds has developed services to compliment our background check and pre-employment screening offering, we were able to deliver a solution that encompassed the entire hiring process – saving time and money for the company. The solution included:
- Career Center. - The company's recruiting efforts directed candidates to their Website's job board. Behind the scenes, the easyBackgrounds Career Center had been installed and replaced the old job board. Because it was branded with the Website colors and logo, visitors couldn't tell this was an easyBackgrounds function.
- easyForms. - After reviewing the job postings, interested candidates could use an online employment application to apply for the position. The application is delivered into the client's account and they are notified by email.
- Background Check. - With the applicant's information already in the system, ordering a background check requires no data entry. The client just selects the background check package they want and submits the order – done!
- Drug Testing. - IT Consultants are often recruited from a significant distance, which required the Drug Test Chain of Custody form (a multi-part paper form) to be shipped overnight. In addition to the expense, it added a day to the turnaround time. With easyBackgrounds' electronic Chain of Custody form program, a secure email and link to the closest collection sites is sent directly to the candidate. Faster, easier and less expensive.
- Electronic Form I-9. - Each new hire needed a Form I-9 completed, and easyBackgrounds electronic Form I-9 was the perfect solution. Using data from the employer and the employee to pre-fill most of the fields, this task took less time and includes the Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify system.
